Roine Lealaiauloto’s story (part I)

The CEO of Penina talks about the origins of Penina’s work; riding the lows and flying the highs, as they sought better results for Pacific people diagnosed with mental illness.

Roine’s story, continued… (part II)

Roine speaks about how mental health service delivery “By Pacific for Pacific” works, and why it’s needed; the issues facing Pacific people living with mental health issues in finding and keeping suitable housing, and how Penina has developed appropriate solutions.

Naomi’s story

Naomi came to Penina’s transitional housing desperate to find a long term solution for her family. She found not only housing, but an opportunity to work helping others with transitional and social housing needs.

Faith’s story

Faith came into contact with Penina while dealing with mental health issues herself. Penina helped her achieve residency in NZ and training for her new career – working with families to grow understanding and support for those affected by mental illness.
